I love freckles. Ever since I was a kid, I've been so proud of my freckles, jealous even of my sisters and mother who were glittered with more. When I hit puberty, my hormones killed all of my hopes for clear skin, and all the exfoliating and chemical-y products that I have to use to keep my acne at bay has actually lightened my freckles. Lately, when my skin is calm and my menstrual cycle is out of sight, I am able to go "foundationless", letting my skin breathe and my freckles shine (with a little cosmetic help).
Of course, even when I am not wearing foundation, I still put on my eyebrows and keep my cheeks glowy. The secret to getting all that blush and highlight to stick without foundation is to use a setting spray. This "No-Foundation" Routine only takes about ten minutes to accomplish, making it perfect for school or work.
Adding freckles doesn't actually take that long because they are meant to be random and messy. If you mess up, or make a freckle too dark, you can just go over it with a sponge or a brush that has a small amounts of concealer on it.
Disclaimer: I am by no means, a makeup artist. The longer I edited this video, the more mistakes I saw. Call it denial, but despite my imperfections, I still feel cute. I'm learning to love myself every day.
